🎵Amazing Grace (Duet with Avery)
Avery’s musical brain works in marvelous ways! 🎶 Here’s one of our favorite Avery memories from when he was just 4 years old… playing Amazing Grace on the piano, but more amazingly, playing it from his own handwritten “sheet music.” 😮 Watch the video, then read below for the full story!

In early 2022, at just 4 years old, Avery decided out of the blue that he wanted to write out the “instructions” to a song, with no prompting (and no help) from Natalie or me. He sat at his keyboard and figured it out note by note, all on his own. You’re looking at a piece of music, handwritten by Avery with colored markers. Each color represents a different note. When read straight across, left to right, top to bottom, it’s the melody line of Amazing Grace… and it’s exactly correct!!
