🎵 Please Don’t Tell Me How The Story Ends

It was 51 years ago this week, in September of 1974, that Ronnie Milsap took this song to number one of the Country chart, his second of an eventual 35 number ones… and Ronnie’s performance of this song earned him a Grammy, his first of an eventual six… Oh and did I mention the song was written by none other that Kris Kristofferson? Here’s my slip-note piano take on an all-time Country classic whose enduring legacy will never end.

(My favorite line in the song, by the way: 🎶“Never's just the echo of forever / Lonesome as the love that might have been…”🎶 Now that’s a Kristofferson line if I’ve ever heard one!)
