Chet’s impact on music in Nashville was immeasurable, as was his impact on the life and career of Floyd Cramer. It was Chet who convinced a 22-year-old Floyd to make the life-changing move from Shreveport to Nashville (along with his new bride Mary) to work in the studio playing recording sessions… Chet produced most of Grandad’s early ‘Nashville Sound’ records for RCA, including Last Date… They toured together for decades with Boots Randolph, bringing the Masters Festival of Music to audiences near and far… And now they are forever enshrined together in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
