🎵Heartbreak Hotel
2026 marks 70 years since Elvis Presley's first #1 single, recorded in Nashville in early 1956 during Elvis' debut session for RCA Victor. Today I'm giving it my own piano spin, but it was my Grandad Floyd Cramer who played piano on this historic record. In fact, it was one of his earliest recording sessions upon moving to Nashville at just 22 years old. This song helped set up Floyd Cramer as Nashville's go-to piano man – not just in country music but also in the early years of rock & roll!
