Floyd Cramer Plays the Opry!
šµThere Goes My Everything
& Have I Told You Lately
Did you watch last night's 'Opry 100' special on NBC? WOW! I can't remember the last concert I've enjoyed as much, especially on network TV. So many special moments honoring Country's rich legacy. Natalie and I were grinning ear to ear all night long. We need more of that on TV, don't you think?
Floyd Cramer was a regular Opry performer through the years, & as you can tell from this video, audiences couldn't get enough. This performance is from 1992 & would have been one of Grandad's final Opry appearances. (complete with a colorful introduction by Jerry Clower!)
I'm thankful for my own 'Opry moments' too, from playing 'Please Help Me, I'm Falling' with Hank Locklin when I was 17, to making my own Opry Debut in 2022. Plus, for the past three years, The Jason Coleman Show has shared the airwaves with the Opry on WSM Radio each week. It's an honor I do not take for granted!
šHappy 100th Birthday, Grand Ole Opry... Here's to the next 100!š
