🎵 Long Black Train

Jason plays Josh Turner's 2003 breakthrough Country hit 🎹 Today's Song of the Day

🎵 Long Black Train

Here’s my slip-note piano treatment of Josh Turner's breakthrough hit, which he performed at his Opry debut in 2001 & released on his debut album in 2003. You might think the song came from an old country hymnal, but no, Josh wrote the song in his apartment one night while in college at Belmont University (my alma mater too!) here in Nashville. "Cling to the Father and His holy name... and don't go ridin' on that long... black... train..." 🚂
