In memory of Patsy Cline, who passed away 63 years ago on this date, March 5, 1963, at just 30 years old. This song was recorded by Patsy on Feb 5 of that year, exactly one month before the plane crash that took her life, and wasn't even released until after her passing. (And as with so many of her hits, that piano you hear on the record is none other than Floyd Cramer.) A song like this just makes us think, "what if...?" Can't you just imagine what 10, 20, 50 more years of new Patsy Cline music would have sounded like? Instead, we're left with sweet dreams...

Tammy Wynette gave us some of the most heart-stirring, heart-wrenching songs of all time. Her impact cannot be overstated, and her music will outlast us all. I cannot wait to bring a bit of Floyd Cramer style to her beautiful songs, from the legendary stage of the Ryman. I’m getting chills just thinking about it.
