⭐️ One of my favorite Dolly Parton / Floyd Cramer connections comes from Dolly’s 1993 “Honky Tonk Angels” album, a trio album with Loretta Lynn & Tammy Wynette… On the album, they re-record Patsy Cline’s “Lovesick Blues” from 1960, adding their own vocals alongside Patsy’s while keeping the original instrumental backing recorded by the Nashville A-Team. Grandad plays a rockin’ piano part all throughout the song, which Dolly clearly notices… Listen toward the end and you’ll hear Dolly shout out, “Ah, that’s Floyd Cramer! He’s older than we are!” 😂
