I love this Floyd Cramer album from 1965, as Grandad pays his own piano tribute to the first four inductees into the newly established Country Music Hall of Fame: Jimmie Rodgers, Hank Williams, Fred Rose and Roy Acuff.
Little could he imagine that, 38 years later… after 88 inductees before him (a fitting number 🎹), Floyd Cramer’s name would be added as the 89th member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, and the first-ever inductee in the newly created “Musician” category. Legendary!
